230 Does antepartum vitamin D3 supplementation prevent gestational diabetes mellitus?

To determine the if Vitamin D3 supplementation reduces incidence of gestational diabetes (GDM). : A subgroup analysis efficacy to prevent GDM was completed on a trial performed from 10/2016 - 4/2020. Women with confirmed intrauterine pregnancy 12-16 weeks gestation were included. taking supplements, or malabsorption disorder, carrying anomalous fetus had mellitus excluded. assigned receive daily 3000IU no supplement in addition prenatal vitamins. Maternal demographic factors, maternal serum D (25(OH)D) levels, and collected charts. defined as positive 2 hour 75g GTT 3 100g GTT. Parametric nonparametric statistics calculated p value <0.05 significant. The cohort consisted 412 women, which 385 met inclusion criteria. There 192 group 193 group. significant differences baseline characteristics between groups.
